I want to tell you about our trip to Sri Lanka. We call it the Highlands & Heritage escape. This trip is four nights and five days long. You will get to see the city of Kandy and the lovely tea estates of Nuwara Eliya. Then you will go to the city of Colombo, which is by the sea. You will visit the Seetha Amman Kovil. Learn about the old stories of the Ramayana. The Highlands & Heritage escape includes seeing the Ramboda Falls and watching the sunset over the Indian Ocean at Galle Face Green. Our Highlands & Heritage escape is great for people who want to see the Temple of the Tooth or enjoy the air of the highlands. The Highlands & Heritage escape is a way to see the places and old traditions of Sri Lanka.

Trip Highlights

Sri Lanka is a cool place to visit. You can see a lot of things there like the tea estates in Nuwara Eliya. They are very green and pretty. Then you have Kandy, which is a city with a lot of culture.. Colombo is a big city that is always busy.
You should go to Seetha Amman Kovil it is an old Hindu temple in Sri Lanka. It is special because it is connected to an old story called the Ramayana. Sri Lanka has a lot of history. You can learn about it at Seetha Amman Kovil.
Ramboda Falls is another place to see in Sri Lanka. It is a waterfall with many levels and it is surrounded by a lot of green plants and trees. Sri Lankas highlands are very beautiful. Ramboda Falls is a great place to relax.
If you like the beach you can walk along Galle Face Green in Colombo. It is a place by the ocean where you can watch the sunset. The sunsets in Sri Lanka are very pretty.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Colombo | Transfer to Nuwara Eliya | Day at Leisure

Welcome to Sri Lanka. When you arrive at Colombo airport, you will take a drive to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a place thats up in the highlands. You will check into your hotel in Nuwara Eliya. Then you have the rest of the day to do what you want in Nuwara Eliya. You can go out. See Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a place that people call the "Little England" of the East. You might want to see St. Clair’s Falls in Nuwara Eliya. St. Clair’s Falls is really pretty. St. Clair’s Falls is like a version of Niagara Falls in Sri Lanka. St. Clair’s Falls is near the tea plants in Nuwara Eliya. If you like adventure, you can go to the Ambuluwawa Tower in Nuwara Eliya. You have to climb up the Ambuluwawa Tower. From the top of the Ambuluwawa Tower you can see far. You can see the mountains and the mist in Nuwara Eliya. After you are done looking at Nuwara Eliya, you can go back to your hotel. Relax in Nuwara Eliya. You can do what you want in the evening in Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a place to visit in Sri Lanka. You will like Sri Lanka and Nuwara Eliya.

Day 2: Kandy Sightseeing Tour

Today you are going on a trip to Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya is a place to visit. You will see a lot of places and natural wonders in Nuwara Eliya. Your trip to Nuwara Eliya starts at the Hanuman Temple. The Hanuman Temple is on a hill in Nuwara Eliya. It is very peaceful at the Hanuman Temple. You can feel calm when you are at the Hanuman Temple. You should learn about the importance of the Hanuman Temple. The Hanuman Temple is a place. Then you go to the Ramboda Falls in Nuwara Eliya. The Ramboda Falls are amazing. The water falls down fast at the Ramboda Falls. The Ramboda Falls look beautiful with all the plants around them. In the afternoon you do two things in Nuwara Eliya. First you visit the Seetha Amman Kovil. The Seetha Amman Kovil is a place that is connected to the Ramayana. Then you walk around the Hakgala Botanical Gardens in Nuwara Eliya. The Hakgala Botanical Gardens have a lot of flowers and plants. You also go to Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya. The Gregory Lake is very quiet. You can take a boat ride on the Gregory Lake if you want to. Then you walk around Victoria Park in Nuwara Eliya. Victoria Park is pretty and well taken care of. After seeing all these things in Nuwara Eliya, you go back to your hotel to rest. You must be tired after visiting all these places in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3: Transfer to Kandy | Half Day Kandy Sightseeing Tour

When you are done checking out, take a drive to Kandy, which is a really old town in the hills. When you get to Kandy, go to your hotel. Take it easy for a little while. Then you should go on a tour to see the culture and the nature of Kandy. The first place to visit is the Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha Statue. From the Bahirawakanda Vihara Buddha statue, you can see the Kandy valley. Next, you should go to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. The Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya has lots of kinds of plants like rare flowers and really big trees. In the afternoon you should visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, which is a very special place because it has the tooth of Lord Buddha. At the end of the day go back to your hotel. Have a quiet evening at your hotel in Kandy.

Day 4: Transfer to Colombo | Colombo Sightseeing Tour

When you finish checking out, you will have to get to Colombo, which is a really cool city by the ocean. The city is called the capital. When you get to Colombo, go to your hotel. Take it easy for a bit. Then you can go out. See what the city is like. Colombo is an interesting place because it has old buildings and new ones too. Your tour of the city starts at the Lotus Tower. You can go all the way up to the top. Look out over the whole city and the Indian Ocean. It is really something to see the city and the ocean from all sides. Then you should go to the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple. This temple is really special because it has a style and it means a lot to the people who live in Colombo. You can also get a feel for the city at the Pettah Floating Market. This market is like a walkway where you can walk around and enjoy the city. After you see all these places, you will go back to your hotel. Get a good nights sleep. You will see Colombo and all it has to offer, like the Lotus Tower and the Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple. Then you can rest.

Day 5: Departure Day

In the morning, check-out from your hotel and get driven to the Colombo Airport. Once there, board your flight back home, this marks the end of your amazing Sri Lanka trip!
