Day 1: Chennai - Pondicherry (Puducherry)
Our guide will meet you in Chennai. Take you to Pondicherry. Pondicherry is a popular tourist destination for both Indians and foreigners. There are temples, churches, monuments, parks, and mosques that tourists love to visit. On reaching Pondicherry you will visit Panchavati Kshetram. It is a Hindu temple, for Panchamukha Sri Anjaneyaswamy. Then you will visit Auroville Matrimandir. You will only see it from outside. It is a place where people go for time to themselves. You can see the Matrimandir from a viewing point. It is located south of the Park of Unity. From there you get a view of the Matrimandir and its surroundings. Next, you will go to your hotel. Check in. You can do what you like for the rest of the day. You can try food, explore the area, or visit the local market. In the evening you will return to your hotel. Stay overnight.
Day 2: Pondicherry sightseeing
In the morning after we have breakfast, we will go for the sightseeing of Pondicherry, also known as Puducherry. We will visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is one of the well-known ashrams in India. People from India and all over the world come to the Sri Aurobindo Ashram for salvation. Then we will visit the Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple. The Arulmigu Manakula Vinayagar Temple is a temple in Puducherry dedicated to Lord Ganesh. After that we will go to the Puducherry Museum. The Puducherry Museum is an art and history museum. It is well-known for its collection of 81 Chola bronze sculptures. The Puducherry Museum has one of the collections of Chola bronzes. Please note that the Puducherry Museum is closed on Mondays and national holidays. We will proceed to the Bharathi Park. The Bharathi Park is a park with a Greco-Roman arch structure, flowers, a play area, and fountains. Then we will visit the Promenade Beach. The Promenade Beach is also known as Pondicherry Beach. It is a beach that starts from the War Memorial and ends at Dupleix Park on Goubert Avenue. Next we will visit the Sacred Heart Basilica. The Sacred Heart Basilica is an example of Gothic architecture. Then we will go to the Botanical Garden. The Botanical Garden was built by colonists on twenty-two acres of land. It has themed plots, an aquarium, and train rides. After that we will drive to the Chunnambar Boat House. The Chunnambar Boat House is one of the visited tourist attractions. It offers a great houseboat experience. We will return to the hotel. Stay at the hotel overnight.
Day 3: Pondicherry - Chidambaram
The morning after breakfast I check out of the hotel and head to Chidambaram. This town is famous for the Thillai Nataraja Temple, which covers 40 acres. Chidambaram is at the center of the worlds magnetic equator. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Nataraja, the dancer. Other deities like Shivakami Amman, Ganesh, Murugan, and Govindaraja Perumal are also worshipped here. The Nataraja Temple is linked to the Pancha Bhoota, the sky element. After lunch I drive to Pichavaram. Its a place with many islands and mangrove forests. The Pichavaram mangrove forest is one of Indias largest, covering 1100 hectares. A sand bar separates it from the Bay of Bengal. I then drive back, to Chidambaram. Stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 4: Chidambaram - Chennai (Drop)
In the morning after you eat breakfast, you need to check out of the hotel at Chidambaram. Then you will drive to Chennai. When you get to Chennai, someone will take you to the place you are supposed to go to in Chennai. The Pondicherry.
